7 April - Paris

By 8.30am the boys were processing towards the train station to use the underground to get to the Eiffel Tower. Staff had been out earlier to buy the tickets and an advance party was sent to get in line for the Tower. However, we saw what rush hour 'traffic' could be like as all were squashed into the Metro and it seemed like half of Paris were in our carriage, or at least on our train. An hour later we got to the Tower, but the ticket machines were broken we couldn't get a group booking, then we had to change queues ... but in the end we walked to the second level. The stunning day meant we could see all of Paris and the views were phenomenal. Some great photos were taken by the boys and many enjoyed just looking at the housing and trying to work out all the buildings. It was about 1pm when we came down.

We then traveled on a large ferry and road the Seine. This afforded a different look at Paris, while information on area of rooms in the Louvre (16000m) or the weight of the bell (pitched at F sharp) should stick in the memory of the boys. From there the boys were allowed some free time to wander  in groups back to our meeting point at the Metro.

It has been another good and busy day.
