We are now here in London, but have had
trouble getting wifi … so this was produced Wednesday night, but it may not be
till Thursday that it is online.
In the morning we decided to travel to
Montmartre and visit the Basillique of Scare-Couer. It was a fantastic sight
seeing the round dome dominating the landscape above the city. When we got to
the top all went inside the church and were amazed by the paintings and
grandeur of the place. It was nice again to be also going at a slower pace too.
Despite this pace there was still a military presence with armed guards
patrolling the perimeter.

From here we then walked the streets and
found a lovely village-like environment with artists, cafes and even a tv
commercial being filmed. The boys enjoyed the wander, and then it was back to
the hotel and off to the train station.
We
got in at about 5pm and then drove to the hotel passing the likes of Baker St,
(although we didn’t pop in and see Sherlock Holmes), Euston and Paddington
stations, and Hyde Park. Tonight after a good dinner we walked the boys up
around Kensington’s High St. Tomorrow we are having a quiet morning and then
we’re off to the Lord’s tour and training in the afternoon.
