6 April - Paris

Most boys had a reasonable amount of sleep on the plane overnight. Most probably had a good 5 hours or so, but they are all in bed right now very tired! We have had a busy day. We caught the Metro into the CBD and had some lunch along the Champs Elysee. A brilliant sunny day greeted us although there was a drift of cool air going through. We then caught the hop on, hop off bus.

Two and a half hours later each group had disembarked and the boys certainly enjoyed seeing the sites. Some beleive they have about 200 photos from the ride. Sites seen include - Champs Elysee, Arc de Triumph, Eiffil Tower, Invalides Museum, the 'Thinker' statue, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral ... All seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

There were some complaints as we struggled to find toilets, but it was also amazing as Paris was throbbing with people. Being a holiday the city was certainly home to 100s of thousands today. We did have a slight hiccup as a couple of boys failed to get on the Metro train taking us home, ... but they did a great jump in getting themselves back to the hotel. All are in bed right now ... ASLEEP. Tomorrow we are climbing the tower, going on a Seine cruise and maybe, time permitting getting into Louvre.
